Online Privacy: House O'Chicks shares your concerns about privacy. The following policies are intended to protect your privacy and ensure that your personal information is safeguarded. As we continue to develop our web site and take advantage of technologies to improve the services we provide, our policies will continue to evolve.

Your personal information is never shared with or sold to other businesses. The information you provide upon registering to purchase items includes general facts necessary for us to complete your order -- your name, mailing address, shipping addresses, email address, and credit card number. Your credit card number is privileged information and will at no time be shared with a third party.

Credit Card Security: House O'Chicks encrypts all information sent via the Internet, so that data arrives privately and securely at its destination. This enables our customers to protect transmitted messages against unauthorized reading.

Sales Tax: We are required by law to collect sales tax on orders being shipped to California, where we are headquartered. California State law requires tax to be assessed on the total purchase, including shipping and handling charges. If you are shipping to any other destination in the United States, sales tax will not be charged on your purchase.

Product Display: I makes every effort to display the puppets featured on Houseochicks.com as accurately as possible. However, the display and color capabilities of your particular computer monitor may affect the colors you actually see on the screen. If you would like to see a different view of a particular puppet, please send me an email and I will send you a snapshot in the mail.

Antiques fabrics: The yarn-dyed and antique fabrics offered have been culled and collected from all over the world. Part of the charm of the textiles lies in their imperfections. Each piece is unique and therefore imperfect.

Availability: Each puppet for sale is unique. I will advise you immediately should your selection be sold. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions concerning the availability of a particular puppet.

Order Processing: Most orders are processed within 48 hours of receipt (processing time does not include weekend days). Each puppet in our web store is unique. You will be informed immediately by email or fax if the puppet you have chosen has already been purchased. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be processed the following Monday. Orders are processed and shipped on business days only (Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays). There is a 5 percent surcharge on "rush" orders. We can accept orders for delivery to international addresses outside the United States, but a follow-up fax and/or email will be sent informing you of the extra charge for shipping and handling before the purchase is confirmed.

Insurance: All puppets are insured against damage. Claims must be made within 7 days of receiving the items and should be documented with photographs. In some cases, your insurance claim may be subject to inspection. Therefore, keep the packaging and merchandise in its original condition as best as possible. If you believe you have an insurance claim, please contact us immediately.

Returns: If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you have 10 days to return your puppet in untouched condition to:

Returns should be sent by UPS or insured Priority Mail for your protection and to insure prompt delivery. Please include your purchase receipt with all returns. We're sorry, but shipping fees are not refundable. Once the puppet has been inspected, we will send you a check in the amount of the purchase price.
